Leeann Tweeden

Leeann Tweeden

Besides possessing the sort of beauty that can cause any male to suddenly relive puberty, or quite possibly spontaneously combust, Leeann is extremely bright and has an odd habit of vacationing in places where people lob RPGs in her direction. She is also very interesting to talk to, and doesn’t hold her opinions back. We are pleased to present our interview with Leeann Tweeden.

Leeann Tweeden

Leeann Tweeden

Anybody who has ever read Maxim or FHM magazine has probably encountered Leeann Tweeden more than a few times. Actually it is quite likely that anyone who has seen her pictorial in either of these publications will have the image of the sexy brunette dancing around in their head in a manner not unlike Christmas sugarplums in noggins of children the night before Santa commits his own special brand of breaking and entering (what the hell is a sugarplum). In short, Leeann is stunning and is one of the few poker hostesses who been able to make fans forget Shana Hiatt.

Kara Scott

Kara Scott

Kara has a claim to fame that most people cannot match; she began her media career as the host of a televised backgammon matches. The only thing more unlikely then a diamond making it out of the rough of backgammon is if the judge for American Idol was a color commentator for the World Championship of Rock, Paper, Scissors. Kara quickly transcended the limbo of backgammon based television, and went on to be the host of the award winning show “Poker Night Live.” She conneteced with the game, and went on to pen articles in such mainstream publications as Flush and Poker Player Magazine.

ANT Attack

Adam Ant

There haven’t been many famous Ants in the history of the world, Atom Ant comes immediately to mind. In fact his catch phrase of “up and Atom” still sticks in my mind to the point where I am willing to drink anti-freeze if I thought it would get the words out of my head. Atom Ant went away either when Saturday morning cartoons became just half hour commercials for He-Man and Thundercat products, or when Mr. Hanna and Mr. Barbera finally sobered up. Either would be a reasonable theory. Since then we have had Adam Ant of the band Adam and the Ants.

Jessica Biel Starts Strong and then Fades

Jessica Biel

Jessica Biel is known for a number of things; first and foremost she has the sort of body that could get anybody with a drop of Greek blood in them all charged up to sack Troy again. Helen may have had the face that launched a thousand ships, but Jessica is the sort of total package that could get a pacifist to consider nuclear war.

Kevin Smith

Kevin Smith

Kevin Smith is the mastermind behind such films as “Clerks”, “Clerks II”, “Mallrats”, “Chasing Amy”, “Dogma” and “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back”. While some of us consider him a genius, and occasionally point our prayer rugs of fandom in his general direction, others watch these films and conclude that Mr. Smith is permanently out to lunch. Whether you love him or hate him one has to acknowledge that he has been one of the biggest influences on generation X since Nirvana.

North Pole Poker

Santa

While most people don’t know it, Santa Claus is an extremely prolific and highly successful poker player. While I will concede that we don’t have any direct evidence that links this incurably jolly soul to the game of poker, there is enough circumstantial evidence to jump to that that particular conclusion.

Mary McCormack

Mary McCormack

When most of us were twelve years old, most of our theatrical performances involved wearing bad costumes that made us look like overripe fruit, or doing a school play about the benefits of personal hygiene. Those of us who were really good got to be shepherds during the yearly Christmas play. Mary McCormack just skipped over the whole fruit/hygiene/shepherd stage of theatrical development and started her career by appearing in Gian Carlo Menotti's Christmas opera, Amahl and the Night Visitors.

David Cross

David Cross

The sport of poker is starting to attract lots and lots of hot, young, attractive celebrities; David Cross is not one of them. Mr. Cross has turned being unhappy and angry at the world into a career of sorts. Over the years he has become one of the most recognizable, non-leading men in the entertainment industry.

Forrest Griffin

Forrest Griffin

I’m sure there are a ton of puns I could use that cross over from the world of Mixed Martial Arts to the sport of poker. There must be at least a dozen ways to use the phrase “Knocked Out” alone as it pertains to things that can happen on the turn and river. While a lot of players will use violent imagery, and talk of fisticuffs (especially when they have been victimized by a particularly bad beat) in my experience, not many of them are capable of backing those words up.
